I am a photographer living and working in East Sussex, near Eastbourne, in the beautiful South Downs. I concentrate mainly on landscape, botanical and architectural, with some figure and portrait. Many of the images on this site originate from my part of the world. As a photographer I am concerned not only with technical precision but with atmosphere: capturing the spirit of a person, place or object, exploring its essential nature.

I began as an amateur photographer some two years ago and use exclusively digital photography. What began as a passionate exploration of beauty has continued as such. In many ways the camera is an extension of my own eye, allowing me to see beyond the range of normal vision, allowing me to see the ordinary in a completely new way. I will continue to seek out the beauty in the life around me for as long as I can see.
